About Us
Home Sweet Ohio began in 2024 when we purchased a piece of land with a dream of building our own collection of short-term rental cabins. After gaining experience with our first short-term rental home in town, we knew we wanted to create something from the ground up—a place where guests could relax, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of southeast Ohio.
Building these cabins has truly been a labor of love. We’ve enjoyed every step of creating each space in our little corner of the woods, carefully designing them to be both beautiful and inviting.
Jason is the one who can build or fix just about anything. He handles maintenance, construction, and all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running smoothly. Lin manages the day-to-day operations, coordinates reservations, and loves decorating each cabin to make it feel warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. She’s also always available to answer questions and help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Our goal is simple: to create personalized experiences in spaces that are beautiful, comfortable, and truly feel like home. As a family-owned business, we personally own, operate, and manage every rental, and providing exceptional guest experiences is our highest priority.

Tom was born and raised in southeast Ohio, where he began working at a young age alongside his dad and seven brothers building pole barns. The brothers competed to see who could frame their side of the barn first!
Carol, who was born in Hocking County, met Tom through mutual friends. Together they raised their family of five in Highland County, instilling in their children a strong work ethic and a love for the Lord.
More than 40 years later, Tom still enjoys building barns, now working alongside his only son, Drew. Carol focuses on creating a warm, peaceful home where family and friends love to gather. Behind the scenes, she keeps the books organized and ensures everything runs smoothly.
In 2023, the Miller family purchased a home and turned it into a true family project. Together, they remodeled and furnished the property as a short-term rental. They enjoyed learning a new business and were a vital part in bringing Home Sweet Ohio to life!
In 2025, Tom and Carol welcomed their first grandson and happily embraced their newest titles—Grandpa and Grandma.
